Finance and higher education 20 April 2005

Uxbridge College held this very successful evening, designed to give parents and students information on higher education finance, aimed at getting the message across that finance need not be a barrier to higher education success.

Comments made by parents included:
"I didn' t know that such help was available..." and "I have a better idea on how much I will need to support my son at university"

The event was run in partnership with the University of Westminister, the London Borough of Hillingdon, and Connexions.

Jim Price (Student Adviser) explained the support available from HEIs, and Paul Elekerton (Principal Grants officer from LBH) advised on the grants and loans application process.

The event was attended by local students, Connexions PAs and Parents, and was our most successful event to date.
